Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions constitute the service agreement between you (the client) and Excel Cleaning (ABN: 25 380 308 022) for the provision of services by Excel Cleaning.

Please take some time to review this Agreement. Use of our services constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

1. Cleaning Services

Subject to the terms and conditions set out in this document, Excel Cleaning agrees to provide cleaning and housekeeping services to the client at an address specified by the client on a regular or one-off basis.

1.1 Regular Services

A regular service is defined as at least 6 weekly or fortnightly services. There is a minimum of 2 hours for regular services and 3 hours for one-off services. Excel Cleaning will provide one or two cleaners according to availability.

The service will be for such cleaning and housekeeping duties as agreed upon between the client and cleaner at a time and date nominated by the client. Once agreed upon, the same date and time will be scheduled each week or fortnight and will be performed by the same cleaner. Occasional changes to date and time can be made by agreement with the cleaner.

In order for the cleaner to perform the service, the client will provide:

If the client requires the Cleaner to clean behind or under any heavy items (eg. a fridge, bookshelf, or other furniture), the client will move those items prior to the commencement of the service.

Excel Cleaning reserves the right to refuse any job if the cleaner deems the condition of the property to be to be unsafe to heath or wellbeing.

1.2 One-off Services

In the case of a one-off clean, the client must be available to inspect the property before the cleaner leaves at the end of the service. Any issues must be dealt with at that time directly with the cleaner. Excel Cleaning will not accept responsibility for any issues that arise after the cleaner has left the property.

A deposit of $100 will be charged as confirmation of booking a one-off service. This deposit is not refundable.

The cost of the service is calculated on an hourly rate and can be found on the Excel Cleaning website. All prices are inclusive of GST.

2.1 Regular Services

The client agrees to pay the price quoted by credit card. The charge will be processed once the cleaner has reported that the service has been completed.

2.2 One-off Services

A deposit of $100 is required to confirm a booking of a one-off service, this is processed via credit card over the phone. The remaining balance owing after the clean is then charged to the same card after the completion of the service.

3. Complaints

If the client is dissatisfied for any reason with the service provided, he/she must inform Excel Cleaning within 24 hours of completion of the service. Excel Cleaning strives to achieve 100% customer satisfaction and will endeavour to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently. Excel Cleaning may, at its discretion, offer the client the following:

4. Accidents, Breakage, Damage

The client must inform Excel Cleaning of any incident where an accident, breakage, damage to property or theft has occurred due to any act of the cleaner within 24 hours of completion of the service. Excel Cleaning may then, at its discretion, offer the client the following:

Cleaners registered with Excel Cleaning are independent contractors and are covered by Public Liability Insurance.

Excel Cleaning cannot cover cleaners for domestic workers compensation because they are not employees of Excel Cleaning.

5. Cancellation Fees

The client must provide Excel Cleaning with at least one business day's notice prior to the service time if they wish to suspend, postpone or cancel the service for any reason. If notice is not given, the client agrees to pay a cancellation/postponement fee equal to our minimum charge of 2 hours of cleaning.

6. Privacy Policy

The client acknowledges that any information provided by the client may be used by Excel Cleaning for the purpose of providing the service. Excel Cleaning agrees not to share any information provided by the client with any third party not directly involved in the provision of the service.

Excel Cleaning will take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information provided by the client from misuse or unauthorised access.

The client agrees to Excel Cleaning communicating with them by mail, phone, text or email and/or via other means in order to provide the service.

7. Excel Cleaning Cleaners

The client acknowledges Excel Cleaning invests significant resources in recruiting, selecting and training its cleaners. The client must not, directly or indirectly, engage, employ or contract with any cleaner to provide domestic services to the client, or any associate of the client, for a period within 12 months after the conclusion of any service organised by Excel Cleaning. Doing so will result in the termination of any and all agreements between the client and Excel Cleaning.
