Our Process

From referral to ongoing service

Four steps from the first call to a regular cleaner in the home.

1

Referral Comes Through

The provider contacts us with the client's details, funding type, and the cleaning support needed.

2

We Confirm and Coordinate

We confirm the scope with the provider, agree the schedule, and match a cleaner from our local team.

3

Meet Your Cleaner

First visit. The cleaner visits for the first time, meets the client and any family present, and agrees the routine together.

4

Ongoing service

Same cleaner, same day, same time. The provider, the client, or family can contact us anytime to adjust the routine, change days, or flag anything that's not right.

What's Included in Aged Care Cleaning

This is what a typical aged care clean covers, to the same standard as our private cleaning service. We agree the specific scope at the first visit based on the client's home and what they actually need, and adjust week to week if things change.

  • High-touch surfaces (light switches, door handles)
  • Skirting boards dusted
  • Cobwebs removed

  • Stovetop and splashback
  • Appliance exteriors
  • Mirrors and glass

Bathrooms

  • Shower, bath and basin
  • Toilet inside and out

Living and dining areas

Additional tasks available

Ironing, light oven and fridge cleaning, pantry organisation, and decluttering can be added to the regular visit if needed. Just let the cleaner or the office know.

Family-Owned, Melbourne-Focused

Family-Owned, Melbourne-Focused

Excel Cleaning has been a Melbourne family business since 2013. What started in Moonee Ponds has grown to 90+ cleaners across all of Melbourne, with over 500k+ cleans completed.

We're not a franchise and we're not an app. Every cleaner is hand-picked, police-checked, fully insured, and trained in-house. One cleaner stays with each client, learning the home and the routine. That continuity matters more when the client is elderly.

For years, Excel has been a preferred cleaning subcontractor to Melbourne aged care providers. The work runs alongside our private cleaning and NDIS service, all delivered by the same trained team to the same standard.

The Excel Difference

Why Providers and Families Choose Excel

Trust, consistency, and respect. What matters most when cleaning happens in someone's home each week.

Why Providers and Families Choose Excel

Same Cleaner, Every Visit

The same cleaner stays with each client, learning the home, the routine, and the small preferences that matter. No new faces, no introductions every week.

Patient and Respectful

Our cleaners work at the client's pace, communicate clearly, and always ask before moving or rearranging anything in the home.

Insured and Police-Checked

Every cleaner holds public liability insurance and a current national police check.

We Handle the Admin

We invoice providers directly for Home Care Package and CHSP clients, send compliant documentation after every visit, and stay reachable through one office contact for change requests or feedback.

Scale Across Melbourne

90+ trained cleaners across all of Melbourne. We can scale with a provider's client base without compromising same-cleaner consistency.

Families Stay Involved

Many of our aged care clients are set up by their adult children. Families can be our point of contact for scheduling, feedback, or anything that needs changing, alongside the provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our aged care cleaning service. Can't find the answer? Get in touch.

Yes. House cleaning is an approved service under Home Care Packages (all levels) and CHSP. The provider coordinates the funding, and we invoice them directly after each visit. If a client or family isn't sure whether cleaning is included in the package, the provider or our office can help check.

Yes. The transition from Home Care Packages to Support at Home changes how funding is structured for clients, but doesn't change Excel's role. Providers continue to engage us as a cleaning subcontractor, and we continue to invoice the provider directly. The cleaning service itself is unchanged.

Cost is determined by the provider through the client's funding allocation. Excel invoices the provider directly after each visit. Some packages cover the full cost; others may include a co-contribution set by the provider. The client or family doesn't pay Excel directly.

Yes. One cleaner stays with each client, on the same day, at the same time, following the same routine. If they're unavailable, we let the client, family, and provider know in advance and arrange a trained replacement.

Yes. Most aged care arrangements involve adult children as the day-to-day contact. The provider arranges the service and handles funding, but family can be the contact for scheduling changes, feedback, or anything that comes up at the home.

In most cases the cleaner uses what's already in the home. If products and equipment aren't available, Excel can supply them, charged to the provider as part of the regular invoice.

Visits can be skipped, days changed, or the frequency adjusted at any time. The provider, family, or client can let us know. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice; with less notice, the 2-hour minimum is billed to cover the cleaner's reserved time. Genuine emergencies like hospitalisation aren't charged.

We service over 326 suburbs across Melbourne, covering inner-city, eastern, northern, western, and south-eastern areas. Check our service areas page or contact us to confirm your suburb.
